During the middle of the 1990′s the Kyrgyzstan Education was very much based on the educational structure that of the Soviet-era. Gradually the system started being modified and changed according to the necessities of the citizens.
According to the constitution education in Kyrgyzstan was made compulsory until the 9th grade and the basic education provided at the state institutions were free of cost.
The Ministry of Education, established in 1992 started reconstructing the course of study at the educational institutions of the country. Until 1992 Kyrgyzstan education was provided only in Kyrgyz. After that several foreign languages such as English, German and French were introduced within the curriculum.
The activities of higher educational institutions, regardless of the legal form of ownership and departmental affiliation, are governed by a single law, the Law on Education dated 30 April 2003.

ACCOMMODATION AND LIVING EXPENSES
There is the resting house for our students in Arslanbob. The hostel rooms are double bed rooms and centrally heated, students are not compulsory to live in hostels and may go into private accommodation if they wish.
OFF CAMPUS ACCOMODATION
Shared flats/Houses: This accommodation is usually a single or shared room (full furnished) in a rented flat or houses with other students, groups or individuals. Buying food and cooking is done either individually or on a group basis.
The university estimates that a single international student requires U.S.$ 100 to 150 to cover living expenses in each month study. The figures given do not include the cost of such large essential items as household equipment or a car. Owning and maintaining a motor in Kyrgyzstan, is an extra cost.
The Osh city is well serviced by public transport. An extensive electric trolley line buses system, approximately 10 to 20 minutes from the university, can take you through out much of the Osh metropolitan area.

Kyrgyzstan became a bilingual country in September 1991. It is one of the two former Soviet Republics in central Asia to have Russian as its official language, along with Kyrgyz. The Kyrgyz language belongs to the Turkic group of languages.
The climate is continental: cold winters and hot summers with big local deflections depending on the altitude. In July the average temperature in the lowlands ranges from +17 to +27 degrees C (the highest temperature can be more than +40 degrees C). At the altitude of 3000 m above the sea level the temperature can only be about +10 degrees C. In winter there are frosts in all regions.
A number of diverse cultures thrive in Kyrgyzstan, but traditional the “Kyrgyz” culture is predominant. The culture is most concentrated in rural areas, particularly Naryn. Kyrgyz culture is a nomadic, tribal way of life rich with seasonal traditions, and unlike neighboring societies, has been entirely portable. Thus the rugged countryside’s historic architecture is not buildings but transiting, self-contained communities with movable homes called yurts.

Current education system is a multilevel system, which consists of the following three main types of education programs, the main purpose of which is the development of the students aptitude, abilities and talents:
Special educational programs for infant preschool institutions;
Public programs, which have a purpose of development of general culture and intellect of a person, creation of a base for successful profession acquirement and obtaining of a qualification
Professional programs, providing gradual growth of professional level, preparation of qualified specialists.
Compulsory minimum of each educational program is defined by correspondent state education standard.
These programs are implemented in the network of education institutions of different types, kinds and forms of property, full time, part time and non-residence forms of education.
Pre-school education: children attend infant schools at 1.5-3 years and kindergartens at 3-7 years. There are state, private, family, rental kindergartens with day-time, part-time and 24-hour a day stay of children
School education: is the most massive among all levels of education. There are three stages of school education: primary education, or the first stage of basic education (1-4 forms, 6-11 years old); basic secondary education or the second stage of basic education (5-9 forms, 11-15 years old); high school education or complete secondary education (10-11 forms, 15-17 years old). This type of education is conducted in different types of educational institutions.
The first stage of basic education provides basic skills and forms the basis for learning at the second stage. The second stage is designed to create a foundation for the students further education.
Additional education. In addition to formal, there are many out-of-school institutions and organizations in the Republic to meet various interests of students.
Professional programs are implemented in institutions of primary, secondary, and higher professional education
Primary professional education is conducted in professional educational institutions, in educational divisions of enterprises, entities and organizations, in educational institutions for special contingencies and in other specialized institutions. This education may be based on secondary (high) education or may be conducted by a unified integrated program of secondary and professional education. In cases of necessity, for persons without secondary education conditions for acquiring professional education could also be created.
Secondary professional education aims to satisfy demands of students in professional training for certain jobs. This education is implemented by a network of colleges, technicums and schools. The term of study in educational institutions of secondary professional education is 4 years on the basis of secondary education and 2 years on the basis of high school.
Higher education is represented by academies, universities, institutes, higher colleges, etc. At present two systems of higher education are functioning in Kyrgyzstan: traditional permanent 5-year education system and multilevel system, providing three levels of higher education: incomplete higher education, basic higher education (bachelor degree and speciality) and complete higher education (master degree and speciality teaching)
System of adult learning has acquired more importance recently. The main goal of a newly formed system of adult education is adaptation of adult population to a new social-economic environment.
The last stage of permanent education is the postgraduate education system (qualification upgrade courses and conversion teaching). Intended to be life-long education, this system represents a network of institutions of conversion teaching, different education centers, programs in the leading institutions of the country, and institutes of teaching of specialists of higher qualification through postgraduate teaching and doctorate.
Medical Teachers guarantee that graduates from these medical universities are eligible to take the Medical Licensing Examinations held by the medical councils in different countries such as MCI, PMDC, USMLE, HPCSA, SCFHS etc.
According to MOE , higher educational institutions that enroll international students for the undergraduate medical program in English shall have the authority to grant master’s degree in Basic Medicine and Clinical Medicine (First-level Subjects), and the affiliated hospitals with Grade III, Level A.
The universities have their own first-class medical labs with pretty good facilities in the nationwide. And all the universities have the 3A comprehensive affiliated teaching and practicing hospitals approved by the Ministry of Health.

All universities receive applications for MBBS programs through Medical Teachers. It is the official online portal for international students applying to all international medical universities. Medical Teachers was set up with support from all country’s Ministry of Education to act as an online liaison between international students and their medical universities. There is a wealth of other areas that students can study. Students can study various aspects of their art and culture. Students can also take advantage of classes on dance, painting, calligraphy, literature and more while they study medicine.
A local language course is compulsory in every university which offers MBBS in English. Even if classes are conducted in English, the language spoken in daily life is essential for students when they leave the classroom. It is helpful for international students to know local language. Nevertheless, not all of the universities ask the students to pass the HSK test at a certain level before graduation. For detailed information, you check the accredited universities respectively.
In general, universities are not accept the transferring from a school, university or institution where you have studied in a degree program.
